Yesterday was the day. It came very unexpected. As I was trying to prepare myself for a love-hate relationship with the cell phone and a long disappointing week of no news, the phone call came. As I heard Carolina’s ring my heart stopped. I actually had only turned the cell phone on maybe a half and hour before she called. So, we hurried up and got ready (Angie was in the shower) and headed off to the courthouse which was in the downtown area. It is a busy, busy place.
The actual signing was not really a dramatic thing but, it is official now. Angie and Camilo are now in this wacky family. We thought that we would not have official copies so that we could move on until Thursday because the defender had not signed. But, low and behold he did sign and we caught another break. So today will be a light day with only birth certificates to take care of but, tomorrow will be the marathon day as we hope to accomplish birth certificate copies, registry issues, new identification cards and hopefully passports. We will see though. Carolina thinks we will be lucky. Here’s hoping! We’re coming home!!!!!!!
